STEAM is for ALL
Giving voice to under-represented groups in STEAM
At the present time, the profile of those who go on to study STEAM subjects is too homogeneous. Contributions of diverse actors, like women or working-class groups, are under-represented in many STEAM fields (Archer et al., 2013; Kearney, 2016). This situation broadens the constraints that limit the participation of these collectives as future full-citizens and, in parallel, lessens the quality of the innovation and development products.
